Nick Colling, director of the studio, is the highest ranked Krav Maga expert in the state of Michigan. He has trained law enforcement personnel including: the entire Sterling Heights Department, S.W.A.T. insertion teams, military police, representatives from the Attorney Generals’ office, members of I.C.E., (immigration and customs Enforcement Team) as well as fire fighters, airline in-flight personnel and hundreds of civilians. Along with his Krav Maga training, Nick has over 35 years of experience in the combative arts. His many accomplishments and awards include: Graduated from the first Civilian Krav Maga Instructors course in 1999. Inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2004 as the “Mixed Martial Arts Master of the Year”. Graduated from the first Krav Maga Civilian law Enforcement course, also known as the “Force Training Division” in March 2005. Inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the “Krav Maga Instructor of the Year” in May of 2005. Inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame Tae Kwon Do Master of the year. On June 12, 2007 Master Colling was honored for his outstanding achievements in hand-to-hand combat instruction of Marine Corps Soldiers. Also on this date, he was recognized as an Honorary Marine Corp Martial Arts Instructor.
